In today’s article I will show you how to create an ebook from beginning to end.
But before we start building it at all, let’s understand what this ebook is all about?
This is basically an abbreviation of an “electronic book” that can be used through our iPad tablet computer and our mobile device.
Digital books are usually a collection of texts and images centered within a PDF document.
The advantage of digital books is that it is very easy to transfer our knowledge and share it with others.
There is no structure we need to work with.
Usually books of this type are waiting for textbooks or novels. (It all depends on what we write).
An e-book has several aspects that we need to emphasize.
We would like to divide our book by a set of chapters and pictures.
Just like a blog.
Proper distribution of our book will help the reader understand it properly.
For example, if we talk about football, and within the subject of football we would like to talk to the World Cup.
We may want to create a subtitle that relates to the World Cup itself.
An electronic book can be about anything we want to write in every field.
It is simply a way for the marketer to provide information to the reader who is interested in the content we have to offer.
If for example I have an environmental company, I can write a digital book explaining why it is important to protect the environment.
In the book I can give the reader an understanding of the importance of preserving the environment.
As well as tips and information on how it can contribute to environmental protection.
No matter what our book talks about, the most important thing we do is research again and know what we are writing about.
Unlike articles and videos, people who buy your book rely on trust and evidence.
A user who buys your book does not want to get these specific points in the full story.
An ebook can be saved in several formats.
Depends on your content and the audience you are targeting.
Now let’s review the types of formats:
Ebooks with the extension of PDF are now the best selling books.
PDF stands for “Portable Document Format”
And they are most suitable for reading on a computer and on mobile phones.
On how to save an eBook in this format I will detail below.
This kind of ebook is known to Kindle.
Amazon’s reading device, users can of course open the book also on their tablet computers and mobile devices.
This file type stands for “Electronic Publication,” and is the more flexible ebook formats. By that, I mean EPUB ebooks can “reflow” their text to adapt to various mobile devices and tablets, allowing the ebook’s text to move on and off different pages based on the size of the device on which a user is reading the ebook. They’re particularly helpful for viewing on smaller screens, such as smartphones as well as the Nook from Barnes and Noble.
ODF stands for OpenDocument Format.
This file type is best suited for OpenOffice.
Designed primarily for a series of open source software. Such as Microsoft Office
No, ebooks can not be edited.
Once we’ve saved one of the files above, it will no longer be possible to edit it.
One of the reasons we’d like our books not to be edited.
This is so that we will not change the content we recorded or the format.
We can read ebooks on multiple platforms.
For example: macbook, smartphone, computer, android etc.
Writing content is an important part of the e-book, another equally important part is book design.
And of course upload it into a professional document that people will want to download it of course.
